It’s a fast dinner to get on the table, which is a lifesaver when your kids aren’t feeling well and you’re exhausted. You’ll notice that there aren’t any green onions in this recipe, making it extra kid-friendly and extra easy to prepare. Hannah must have brought home every germ from preschool this past cold and flu season, so we slurped down many bowls of Feel Better Miso Soup!

Feel Better Miso Soup
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1/3 cup miso paste (or follow the instructions on the package for quantity of miso paste)
- 1/2 block firm or extra firm tofu
- Tamari sauce, to taste
Takes , serves 2 people.
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a low boil, then scoop out about 1 cup of warm water.
- Mix the miso paste with the warm water, then pour into the pot and stir. Do not over boil the miso, keep the heat low.
- Cut 1/2 a block of firm tofu into bite sized cubes, then add to the pot. Once the tofu has warmed up, it’s ready to serve. Add tamari sauce to taste.
